Ælisa

Ælisa's dance merges a solid technical foundation with a powerful, buttery execution and an eerie, uncanny aesthetic. Her journey began in 2006, drawn to bellydance for its liberating nature, deep body awareness, and its dark, hypnotic depth. Parallel to her practice as a yoga teacher (Anusara, 2019), her path led from Improvised Group Dance into Fusion and Indian Fusion Bellydance, complemented in recent years by the dance style of Waving.

A passionate fan of contemporary dance, modern dance theater, and immersive theater, she continuously gathers fresh inspiration through workshops and theater visits with friends. Her aesthetic is further fueled by heavy, dark, and experimental music, as well as her work as a scare actress. As a lifelong student, Ælisa thrives on deep dives and the subtle details of movement.

In her teaching, she combines solid technique, rigorous drills, improvisation, and dance history, creating a space to push past comfort zones and unlock your own unique voice.
