Robyn is a tribal fusion and Tribal Improv dancer based in Nottingham. She fell in love with the free and expressive nature of belly dance and tribal fusion in particular after completing her studies in Fine Art.
Her studies in belly dance started with Team Gothla's own Heike and continued with various international dancers (Kajira Djoumahna, Amy Sigil, Rachel Brice, Morgana & Alexis Southall to name a few)
Having studied various improvisational formats she now directs BlackPeacock BellyDance with their own blend of Improv tribal. Robyn is passionate about enabling dancers to unlock their own creativity and expression, teaching monthly tribal fusion workshops exploring different themes related to movement theories and practices.
"All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy…"
…all play and no work makes Jack a mere toy!
Using structured excercises we'll work through movement theory and drills for the dancers tool box to explore creative processes for tribal fusion belly dance.
With something for everyone we'll create a safe space for exploration and play based on a solid grounding of technique and movement theory, creating together combinations for solo or group choreography.
